During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

During the odd holiday, or period of time without an important client meeting, i’ve been inclined to let the old facial hair to ‘grow out’ a little bit. But i’ve never sported a fully grown beard or moustache before. Movember was a great excuse to let such a growth appear! Doing so really does raise awareness, as so many people would ask, “what the hell is that on your top lip?!” Thus presenting the opportunity for me to explain. Also, of course, its a great opportunity for me to discover more about my face!

As time went on, it became quite annoying, but then i found myself completely forgetting it was there. Once past the itchy stage, i started to think about what shape i was going for. Then i became quite attached to it! By the end of the month, i’d managed to cultivate a reasonably impressive ‘Horseshoe’. However, i dont really think i’m a moustache person, so when the time came to remove it, there were no tears.

Having said all that, this guy rocks the moustache!
